The Riding Patch and The Open Gate Foundation are partnering to deliver programs supporting participants to improve their lives and open the gate to future opportunities.

After eight years of dreaming and planning, Kathy Angel, The Riding Patch owner and founder of The Open Gate Foundation, is excited to bring this opportunity to financially assist families who are wanting to engage with services at The Riding Patch but need financial aid.

Open Gate Services is a young person-centred support service located at The Riding Patch. Our services are client focused services which take the young person’s voice, needs and wants all into consideration. Our services implement a relational, strength-based approach as we partner with our clients as they work towards agreed upon goals. Through our Active Mentoring program, this will look different for every young person. Our program coordinator works with the young person and their guardians to ensure that the desired outcomes are being met. This could range from horse riding, gardening, cooking or bushwalking to spending time with clients building rapport and trust, engaging in an activity that the young person enjoys.

At The Riding Patch we treat all people equally, every young person who participates in our services will be met with kindness, respect, and professionalism.
