The Riding Patch provides a range of horse programs and  one on one support.  Our clients work with our team in both mounted and unmounted activities for people with disabilities including cognitive, emotional, social and/or physical.    


Our qualified staff will provide programs that will create opportunities for the individual and a safe place to build life skills with the aid of horses. 


Participants can reconnect with recreation, wellness, adaptive riding and/or competitions.

The Riding Patch NDIS programs are catered to the needs and directions of each individual participant and provide the following benefits:

    • Improving self-esteem 

    • Increasing self-confidence

    • Increasing social awareness 

    • Reducing stress 

    • Developing balance and coordination 

    • Improving working memory skills

    • Developing gross motor skills

    • Developing fine motor skills

    • Increasing core strength and muscular control

Working with horses can offer opportunities for individuals to achieve things that may seem impossible.

Participant Sponsorship

With our customised, participant-led equestrian programs, riders sponsored by Open Gate Foundation develop skills for life.


Our participants are empowered to build confidence and resilience with the highly skilled team at The Riding Patch.

Holistic Programs

The program development and assessment framework is tailored to individual needs, using goal setting and progression assessment to deliver holistic and meaningful outcomes.

Our Participants

Supporting participants who:

  • have experienced hardship or disadvantage;
  • are disengaged or at risk of disengaging;
  • have been impacted by trauma;
  • have a disability or mental health issue; or
  • have any other physical, social or emotional challenges.
