The Riding Patch has been an established riding school since opening its gates in 2005.
In 2026, we welcomed the addition of Equitread, a water treadmill for horses. Experience an advanced hydrotherapy system supporting conditioning, fitness, rehabilitation, and everyday horse health management.
The Patch now offers the ability to support and personalise your complete equestrian program.
From horse care and fitness to riding lessons, we have the facilities to do it all.
Our purpose-built facilities also include stables, tack rooms, tie-ups, spacious day yards, and a solarium, completing the experience.
Riding lessons
Our mission is to teach practical independent thinking riders in a relaxed supportive and inclusive environment.
We cater for people of all ages beginning at 4 yr of age. Our services are open to all. The Riding Patch is disability friendly running inclusive programs and supports.
Horse riding is a rare sport as It requires the rider to learn to work in partnership with another, rather large horse.
EQUINE TREADMILL
Equitread supports everyday horse health, conditioning, and movement.
Equitread is a controlled, low-impact water treadmill system that allows horses to move naturally while benefiting from resistance, buoyancy, and hydrostatic pressure.
Our Equitread services can also be integrated with broader rehabilitation guided by experience, observation and best-practice equine care.
EQUINE AfterCare
Our recovery and rehab post vet care service provides structured daily support for horses requiring additional management and recovery support. This service bridges the gap between veterinary treatment and home care, offering experienced oversight, consistent routines, medication and bandage management, and monitored exercise.
Facility Hire
Facility Hire provides access to a versatile 10-acre venue with multiple arenas, amenities, and camping space, suitable for equestrian and community events. All hires are arranged by discussion to ensure the right fit.
