Riding Lesson Pricing
30 minute Lesson:
$70
- All riders start here unless otherwise informed by the instructors
60 Minute Lesson:
$105
Prices subject to change without notice.
Riding Lesson Availability
Riding lessons are available Tuesday to Saturday.
9 - 5 pm and after school is a popular time so book early!
Weather Policy
Occasionally we need to cancel lessons when the weather is extreme, for instance:
- High Winds
- Thunderstorms
- Hail
- Extreme Heat: No lessons 33℃+
In these cases, we will contact you directly and reschedule your lesson.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your lesson, please contact us as soon as possible as the following charges apply for late cancelation and no-show.
• After 3pm the day prior to session – 100% of session fee will be charged
• “No Show” at session time - 100% of session fee will be charged
• Up to 3pm the day prior to the session – No Charge

Please Note: If your current plan does not include this type of funding you will need to pay for the lesson yourself. If you are unsure as to whether this category is included in your plan, please contact your plan manager.
If your plan is coming up for review, please contact us to provide you with a quote/report so your plan can include funds for this category.
Why do I need to call to book riding lessons?

Do I or my child need any special clothing or footwear for riding lessons?
For riding lessons, you or your child must be wearing:
- Sneakers are ok as we ride with Toe-Stoppers.
- Covered in boots with a flat sole
- long pants
- a shirt or top that covers their shoulders - long sleeves preferred
You do not need to buy specific horse riding clothes.
Do I need to buy a helmet for myself or my child?
No, we have helmets for riders to use during their lessons that are to approved Australian quality and safety regulation standards.
Is there a minimum age for riding lessons?
Yes, children must be at least 4 years old for riding lessons.
Are there any weight restrictions for riders?
To ensure safety for horses and riders, the maximum weight for a rider is 80kg with our school horses.
Please note there are other factors that may determine if The Riding Patch currently has a suitable horse.

Do you offer trail rides?
No, our service offerings do not include trail rides.
